Return After Rain

The surface is softened, as if dampened by a passing storm. Low, weighty terraces of earth red and dulled clay stretch across the lower half, layered unevenly with faded marks where color meets color. Above, the muted sky holds a silent hush, washed pale indigo and streaked with mineral green, suggesting lingering cloud. The horizon remains open, anchoring the scene but never dividing it. Between land and sky, the colors blend where they meet, edges merging as if mist or memory were slowly settling. The whole feels held together by patience, not by force.
